Designed for the Fluval C-series Power Filter, Fluval Poly/Foam Pad effectively performs the first and second stages of mechanical filtration. Good water quality is essential to keeping your fish healthy and debris can cause toxic ammonia levels and cloudiness. Effective mechanical filtration is essential for efficient chemical and biological filtration. The large surface area of the Poly/Foam pad effectively performs two stages of Mechanical filtration. The first stage of porous foam traps large particles and the second stage of dense polyester captures fine debris. The result is thorough mechanical filtration, more efficient chemical and biological filtration and cleaner, clearer water.

Fluval Poly Foam pad filter replacements should be changed every 2-3 months, though they can be rinsed clean between filter changes to extend filter life.
